Yesterday, I talked about seeing your potential. Today is a new day.
One reason I lie to travel is because I think the world is such a beautiful place with so much to explore. It brings me joy and happiness. According to certain faiths, it is said that we are "created in God's image", but from the perspective of our imagination, "God" is created in our image. In other words, we are both a creation of the universe and the universe is a creation of our mind.
If that is true, then just as happiness can be found in the external world, happiness also resides within us. When I think of why I like to go on adventures, it's like I'm searching for something to spark my interest. To get myself to be passionate about something. A lot of us search for that something that drives us. Yet no matter how long we search or what we find, I think it's just as important to find that something special within to have balance. I have to see and find the beauty within myself just as much as I've learned to see the wonder and amazement of the world I inhabit.
In practicing mindfulness, I'm learning to be more appreciative of everything and I'm learning just how much my outlook on life influences how everything turns out. My internal condition affects everything in my external experience and the further I delve deep into my own psyche the more I feel like I've come to understand the nature of the world around me. This understanding manifests itself both in the progress other people are making and the things they're sharing with everyone, but also in the understanding of my daily actions and how to go with the flow effortlessly. I gained a deeper appreciation for myself and the life I've been given. It's made the sun shine brighter, the rain soothing, and the things that were once blurry in my understanding are slowly becoming more clear.
Peace
"The same eyes with which I see God, God sees me." - Meister EckhartToday started out great. The sun is out, the weather's nice (it's not stupid hot and humid like it has been), and I'm feeling good. I went to the gym, was able to increase the weight for my squat routine, my legs are sore, but knowing that I'm getting stronger makes it worth it. I take mornings like this as a sign that the rest of the day is gonna be pretty sweet, too.

The deeper our understanding the more clearly we learn to see the beauty. |
