Balance in everything

For every light, there is a shadow. Every good, an evil. One is all, all is one. Nothing - everything.

Our bodies are constantly working to maintain equilibrium. Balance.
Without balance, we aren't able to function at our peak potential. As such, moderation exists with everything in order to maintain balance in our lives.

Too much studying and you end up tired, exhausted, and end up making mistakes on your exams. Too much partying and you end up missing out on getting things done in your life. Too much work and you won't be able to rest up and get a good night's sleep. Too much rest and your body aches, stagnates, and becomes groggy. Eat too much and you get stomach aches and gain weight. Drink too much and you die (even water). Eat too little and you become malnourished. Drink too little and you become dehydrated and you feel like ass. Work out too much and you tear your muscles too much and injure yourself. Don't work out ever and your body becomes weak. We need moderation in everything.

We need to work hard, yet we need to take time to rest. We need to eat well, yet we need to condition our body. We need to exercise our brains, yet we need time to chill out. We need to socialize with others, yet we also need to take time to reflect in solitude. We need to be loved, yet we need to realize that simply loving ourselves is enough.

Finding balance is a life-long commitment. One that we all struggle with, which is why life isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Yet we need to struggle to learn to appreciate the good things we do have in our lives.

It's a choice, and we have full control over where we go in our lifelong journey. Whether we maintain balance in all things remains our own decision.
