Yesterday, I talked about making time to just be. Today is a new day.
Every once in a while though, we get some of our best ideas from our boredom. We get so bored that a spark just hits us and BAM - next thing we know we're taking up a new hobby or working on a new project that challenges us and adds value to our life because fuck it; we can.
I'll sometimes catch myself doing things because "why not"? When we have free time the world is our oyster. We could sleep-in, we could go for a run, watch a movie, go shopping, etc. If we don't have any obligations we're free to do whatever we want. Sometimes it's hard for me to decide what to do, which is why routines are important. When I do have free time I have a list of things I prioritize my time with: go to the gym, write my blog and make time to draw. If I still have free time, I do everything from playing video games to hiking in the mountains.
Much like how the sun ripens the grapes because it can, there's so much to do in this world, so there's no reason to be bored anymore with how much there is to actually do out there. We can do pretty much anything in this age.
We're limited only by our imagination.
Peace
"The sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent upon it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe to do." - GalileoBoredom is a powerful emotion. For most, it's the feeling that there's not enough excitement in the moment. A lot of people think of things do to, but that lame feeling that comes with being bored often makes us stop caring and we just laze about thinking about how bored we are. It's a vicious cycle of doing nothing, browsing through social medias, feeling unsatisfied, scrolling through things again, watching some random memes and videos, and feeling like you didn't get anything done.

Let yourself be spontaneous when you feel like there's nothing to do. There are plenty of options to pick from. |
Today's assignment: like the sun, give yourself those "nothing else in the to do" moments. Because you can.
